The smaller Mordellidae are hard to identify to species. This might be Mordella sydneyana, but I think it would be necessary to examine a specimen to be sure.

Having had a dig around I think we can go further than this, this might be a member of the genus Australymexylon. There are two spp. recorded in Australia.
